Advancing Sustainability Through Green Procurement & B2B Workshop

Held on 8 July 2025 at Bangi Resort Hotel, the Sustainable Wood Use (SWU) Project proudly hosted a full-day event dedicated to raising industry awareness on the importance of sustainable and certified wood production in Malaysia. This event was organised by MTCC and UPM, co-organised by CTCS Worldwide Sdn. Bhd.

📍 Morning Session – Seminar
With the theme of promoting sustainability through green procurement, the seminar was officiated by Encik Muhammad Hasif Azizan, Director of Communication and Marketing, MTCC, and attended by 55 participants from 24 companies and 11 agencies – all passionate about building a greener domestic wood market.

🎙️ Our expert speakers brought diverse perspectives from certification bodies, green initiatives, and real industry experience:

✨ Encik Abdul Malik Atan (MGTC) – Sustainable Choices, Profitable Future
✨ Encik Ahmad Firdaus (Puncak Bumi Utama Sdn. Bhd.) – Lessons from the Field: Certification & Due Diligence

💬 The seminar concluded with an engaging panel discussion, moderated by Dr. Adlin Sabrina Muhammad Roseley, sparking meaningful conversations about challenges and opportunities in sustainable wood sourcing.

🤝 Evening Session – B2B Workshop
The day transitioned into a B2B Matching Session, creating a dynamic space for suppliers and buyers to connect, exchange ideas, and explore real business opportunities for a more responsible and certified supply chain.

We would like to give a huge thank you to Puan Hamidah from CTCS Worldwide and all who participated and contributed to this inspiring step toward a sustainable future for Malaysia’s wood industry. 🌱
