The “Kayu Kita Symposium: Empowering Bumiputera in the Timber Industry” was held at The Everly Hotel, Putrajaya, organized by the Malaysian Bumiputera Timber and Furniture Entrepreneurs Association (PEKA). The event was officiated by YB Datuk Seri Johari bin Abdul Ghani, Minister of Plantation and Commodities.
The symposium aimed to present the Roadmap for Bumiputera Entrepreneur Development in the Timber Industry, based on findings from the Bumiputera Timber Entrepreneurs Engagement Session held last October.
Also in attendance were YBhg. Dato’ Razali bin Mohamad, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Plantation and Commodities and Chairman of CTCS Worldwide Sdn Bhd; YBrs. Tuan Saiful Bahri Salleh, Director General of MTIB; YBrs. Puan Noraihan Abdul Rahman, Chief Executive Officer of MTC; Puan Hamidah Abdullah, General Manager of CTCS; and Tuan Haji Farosham, President of PEKA.
